Periodontal Splinting for Loose Teeth
Teeth can become loose for a variety of reasons:
- loss of gum tissue
- facial injury
- orthodontic treatment
- pressure caused by crooked teeth
Periodontal splinting is a procedure that attaches a weak, loose tooth a stable tooth that is next to it. If you or someone you know has ever broken or jammed a finger, it is the same theory as taping two fingers together until the injured finger gains back full mobility.
The procedure is very simple and extremely effective.
